Job description

This is a part-time position, 20 hours/week.
The Social and Senior Ministries Assistant assists with Social Ministry and Senior Ministry programs, and performs general office duties.
About the role:
  • Assist in coordinating and implementing Social Ministries and Senior Ministries programming, including providing administrative support, event support, maintaining program records, helping with special projects and ensuring the efficient delivery of services to participants.
  • Support the administration of the Summer Day Camp program by managing registrations, processing billing and payments, maintaining participant files, tracking daily attendance, and assisting with parent communication.
  • Provide excellent customer service to program participants, families, volunteers, and community partners by responding to inquiries, directing individuals to appropriate resources, and fostering a welcoming and supportive environment.
  • Maintain confidentiality of participant information and ensure adherence to organizational policies, procedures, and safety standards.
  • Be aware of and able to share information regarding the services and programs offered.
  • Assists with data entry, statistics, composes and compiles reports of services and activities.
  • Enter Social Ministries information into Client Database system (SIMS).
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education: High school diploma or equivalent
Experience: Previous experience working with non-profit or social service organizations, as well as clerical or receptionist experience preferred is helpful.
OR -Any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.

Part-time employees with a regular work schedule of 20-29 hours per week are eligible for voluntary life benefits, prorated holiday pay and prorated paid time off.
Non-Exempt Employees: Health, dental, vision, and hearing benefits, as well as basic and voluntary life benefits, will begin on the first day of the month following 90 days of employment. If the completion of a 90-day waiting period occurs on the first day of the calendar month, coverage will begin on that day.
