Your future role at a glance

Location: Pensacola, FL

Facility: Ascension Sacred Heart Pensacola

Department: Cardiac Rehabilitation

Schedule: Days | Part-Time

How you'll make an impact in this role
  • Perform pre- and post-rehabilitation testing to evaluate patient capacity, then design and instruct customized exercise therapy based on test data, health status, and medication regimens.

  • Continuously monitor patient responses during exercise, promptly recognizing abnormal reactions or contraindications to cease exercise and initiate medical referrals when necessary.

  • Provide evidence-based physical activity education and guidance to patients, clinical peers, and the community through instruction and public educational sessions

  • Maintain and calibrate department equipment, manage patient records and scheduling, and provide operational oversight for department activities in the manager's absence.

What minimum qualifications you'll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • Exercise Physiologist credentialed from the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) preferred.

Education:

  • Bachelors degree required.
  • Masters degree preferred.
