Medical Receptionist

Arthritis, Rheumatic and Bone Disease Associates (ARBDA) is one of the largest, most experienced, and top-rated rheumatology practices in the nation. Established in 1974, we have been caring for patients for close to 50 years. ARBDA has grown from a single office to 6 offices throughout south and central New Jersey and employs over 100 employees and growing. Our team is dedicated to diagnosing, treating, and medically managing arthritis, inflammatory and autoimmune diseases and Osteoporosis. Our mission is that we strive to continually build relationships with our patients and their families through treatment, education, and advocacy while maximizing their quality of life.

What You Will Do:

This is a part time position. The hours are Tuesday 11am-7pm, Wednesday 8:30am-4:30pm, and Thursday 11am-7pm

The Medical Receptionist performs clerical and administrative work such as checking in patients and providing patient assistance.

  • Greets and registers patients.
  • Collects co-pays, post payments and balances daily day sheet.
  • Orders and stocks office supplies.
  • Confirmation of outstanding referral requests prior to patient being roomed.
  • Ensures rapid, med-list and records or reports are forwarded to Medical Assistants prior to rooming.
  • Answers phones.
  • Enters correct information into Electronic Medical Record (EMR).
  • Schedules appointments as indicated by provider.

What You'll Have:

  • HS graduate or GED equivalent required
  • Medical office experience preferred.
  • Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) preferred.
  • Knowledge and understanding of medical terminology preferred.
