We are seeking a reliable and patient-focused part-time medical assistant/patient onboarding specialist to support our New Mexico First Choice clinics. This in-clinic role focuses on assisting patients with onboarding, program enrollment, and device distribution while working closely with clinical staff to ensure a smooth and positive patient experience. The ideal candidate is comfortable communicating with patients, organized, and able to support daily clinic operations in a professional healthcare environment.

This position offers consistent part-time hours, on-the-job training, and hands-on experience in a growing healthcare program. It is well suited for candidates with medical assistant or healthcare experience who enjoy patient interaction and supporting clinical workflows.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Calling patients to explain the CareGenix program
  • Helping patients complete enrollment and required documentation, collecting, and reviewing basic medical history information.
  • Issuing medical devices as needed to patients.
  • Communicate clearly and compassionately with patients and families.
  • Prioritize daily responsibilities while working independently.
  • Provide excellence in patient care and customer service.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and HIPAA compliance at all times.

Qualifications:

  • Active, Medical Assistant (MAs) license in good standing
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a clinical or patient-facing setting
  • Superior verbal communication and active listening skills
  • High proficiency in medical terminology
  • Excellent organizational and documentation skills
  • Professional phone etiquette and strong interpersonal abilities
