This position is responsible for the production of high-quality medical devices, primarily pacemakers, within a manufacturing cell. Under close supervision, the Medical Device Assembler performs assembly, repair, and test operations on pacemakers, implantable cardioverter defibrillators (ICDs), leads, and related medical device assemblies. The role requires adherence to standardized procedures, careful documentation, and effective communication with manufacturing management and internal and external customers. The assembler follows strict safety guidelines and participates in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production quality and efficiency. Compliance with dress code and cleanliness standards in the production environment is mandatory to ensure product quality and safety.
Responsibilities
- Assemble, repair, and test pacemakers and related medical device components according to standardized procedures
- Maintain accurate records for traceability and quality assurance
- Follow strict safety protocols and utilize appropriate safety devices during all operations
- Communicate effectively with management and internal/external customers
- Participate in continuous improvement and quality initiatives to enhance production processes
- Ensure compliance with documentation and quality management systems (QMS) and environmental management systems (EMS)
- Support manufacturing cell performance by setting and monitoring individual and team goals
Preferred Qualifications
- 1+ years of experience in medical device assembly
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Knowledge of medical device assembly and safety procedures
