Overview

Job Summary

Performs surgical duties for delivery room procedures under the direct supervision of a registered nurse.

Job Responsibilities

  • Prepares operating room for obstetrics surgical patient, reviews preference cards to determine surgeon needs, obtains the necessary supplies and equipment for the procedure, ensures cleanliness of room, and assists with opening sterile supplies.

  • Performs surgical scrub duties, and assists with the collection, identification, and disposition of cultures and specimens.

  • Assists in turning over of room, and ensures supplies, instruments, and equipment are returned to proper location.

  • Boone Health has determined this is a safety-sensitive position. The ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner is an essential function of this job.

  • Performs Other Responsibilities as Assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Degree: High School Diploma or GED

  • Experience: No Experience

  • Supervisor Experience: No Experience

  • License & Certification: Non-Required

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience: <2 years
