Custodian (Part-Time) โ€“ Martin County

Pay Rate: $14.00โ€“$14.50 per hour
Schedule: Mondayโ€“Friday evening shifts; some weekends required

Overview:
We are currently hiring Part-Time Custodians for multiple locations within Martin County. This role supports cleaning operations in government buildings. Specific duties and full scope of work will be provided by the on-site supervisor.

Work Environment:ย Government facilities

  • Multiple locations available (assignment provided upon hire)

  • Employees will be assigned to a single location and are not required to travel between buildings daily

Key Information:

  • Custodian duties may vary by location. Your supervisor will provide specific responsibilities and training upon assignment.

  • Reliable transportation is required to ensure consistent and timely arrival to your assigned location

  • Because this position involves access to a government facility, strict security protocols must be followed to ensure the safety, security, and integrity of personnel, property, and operations. Certain criminal histories may disqualify an individual from employment in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, and contract requirements.

Requirements:

  • Previous custodial experience preferred

  • Must be able to pass a Level 2 background check (fingerprinting)

  • Ability to work scheduled evening shifts and occasional weekends

  • Maintaining regular, predictable attendance and being present during scheduled work hours are essential functions of this position. Employees must be able to consistently fulfill attendance requirements and communicate appropriately regarding any necessary absences or schedule changes.

  • Adhere to dress code, wear identification cards when on site

Physical Requirements:
  • Stand and walk for extended periods

  • Bend, stoop, kneel, and reach regularly

  • Climb stairs as needed

  • Lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds

  • Use cleaning equipment and chemicals safely

Employment Requirements:
  • Maintain a professional appearance and follow dress code

  • Wear company identification while on duty

  • Report to work on time and as scheduled

  • Attend required meetings and training sessions

  • Authorized to work in the United States
