Custodian - Tift County School System (Tifton, GA)
Location: Tifton, GA
Employer: Tift County Schools (Multiple locations)

Position Overview
Tift County School System, in partnership with American Facility Services, is seeking dependable and hardworking Custodians to help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors across our school campuses.
Pay Rate
  • $11 - $12/hr. Depending on Shift
Available Shifts
  • Full-time: 7am - 3:30pm, 10am - 6:30pm, 12pm - 8:30pm, 2pm - 10:30pm
  • Part-Time: 7am - 11am, 2:30pm - 6:30pm
Key Responsibilities
  • Clean and maintain classrooms, restrooms, hallways, and common areas
  • Perform routine custodial duties such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and trash removal
  • Maintain cleanliness standards to ensure a safe and sanitary school environment
  • Assist with event setup and breakdown as needed
  • Follow all safety procedures, district policies, and supervisor instructions
  • Supports team goals through cooperation, dependability, and a strong work ethic.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and kneel for extended periods
  • Ability to lift, carry, and move 25-50 pounds
  • Ability to perform repetitive motions such as sweeping, mopping, and wiping surfaces
  • Comfortable working in varying indoor conditions, including use of cleaning products
Additional Requirements
  • Must have reliable transportation and consistent cellular service (Wi-Fi may not be available at all sites) - required for clocking in/out
  • Ability to work assigned shift and location
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently or as part of a team
BENEFITS (Full-Time):
