Job Description
SAIC seeks an individual for an immediate part time Logistician with the Mobility Platform Integration contract that supports Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC) Crane.
This position requires the ability to sort and move material, in particular for kitting activities.
We are looking for a candidate to support the existing logistics and integration teams through solid output and performance centered on the system integration actions across the contract.
  • Support physical distribution, order fulfillment, inventory management
  • Perform a combination of manual and clerical shipping and receiving duties; may work out of a central warehouse.
  • Uses computer system for tracking, logging, verifying and reporting.
  • Follow shipping practices and procedures, and transportation routing, schedules and requirements.
  • Receives incoming materials or prepares materials for shipment.
  • Pack/wrap and/or unpack/unwrap items such as finished products, raw stock, assemblies, parts, building materials, office supplies, equipment, etc.
  • Supports the efficient flow of goods, services, and information between points of origin through customer placement in order to meet customer requirements.
  • Requires limited supervision with the expectation that general instructions are needed on routine work.
  • Provides additional general support across the contract activities as required.

Qualifications
TYPICAL EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
  • High School and five (5) years or more related experience.
