Description Summary
This individual will assist the grounds crew with mowing and landscaping up to 25 hours per week.
Examples of Duties
  • Assist with the maintenance and upkeep of campus grounds, including mowing, trimming, raking, and weeding.
  • Help with seasonal tasks such as snow removal, leaf collection, and applying ice melt to walkways.
  • Operate groundskeeping equipment such as mowers, trimmers, blowers, and utility vehicles.
  • Plant and maintain flowers, shrubs, and trees to enhance campus aesthetics.
  • Perform general landscaping tasks including mulching, edging, and pruning.
  • Support set-up and tear-down for outdoor campus events as needed.
  • Ensure campus grounds are clean and safe by collecting trash and reporting hazards.
  • Assist in maintenance and repair of irrigation systems.
  • Follow all safety guidelines and use personal protective equipment as required.

Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required. Experience in grounds keeping and landscaping preferred; driver's license with clean driving record; and ability to lift 70-80 pounds.
