Job description

Position TitlePhlebotomist Clerk - Supplemental (Part-Time)Job Description

Purpose & Scope:

The major duty of this position is the collection of blood specimens for Laboratory testing. The majority of patients drawn are inpatients but the staff is cross-trained to assist in other areas. In addition to phlebotomy some computer work is required.

Education:

High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.

Experience:

One year of healthcare/medical -phlebotomy experience is required.

One year of hospital experience is preferred.

Computer experience is preferred.

Certification/Licensure:

None.
