Laboratory Technician
Our bustling practice is growing and searching for a part time OR full time experienced Laboratory Technician! Schlessinger MD was founded in 1993 by board-certified dermatologist and cosmetic surgeon Dr. Joel Schlessinger. Since that time, Schlessinger MD has become a nationally and internationally known cutting-edge dermatology and cosmetic surgery clinic. Dr. Schlessinger & Schlessinger MD have recently received 8 awards for 'Best of Omaha" for our various departments. Join us and see why the best is yet to come!
In this role you will:
  • Prepare, label, and process laboratory samples and specimens
  • Conduct routine laboratory tests and experiments according to established procedures
  • Operate, calibrate, clean, and maintain laboratory equipment
  • Record and analyze test results with accuracy and attention to detail
  • Maintain laboratory inventory, supplies, and equipment logs
  • Follow laboratory safety protocols and regulatory compliance standards
  • Assist with quality control and quality assurance procedures
  • Assist Dermatology clinic RN team as needed with cataloging lab pickups, preparing patient trays and other duties as assigned.

What you bring to the table:
  • Associate's Degree with at least 1 year experience in a lab environment preferred
  • Previous laboratory experience preferred
  • Knowledge of laboratory procedures, safety standards, and equipment operation
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and laboratory information systems
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
