Saint Augustine, FL 32086
Schedule: 7:00am-5:30pm
Employment Type: Part-Time (32hrs. per week)
Join the cardiovascular services team at UF Health Flagler Hospital as an Electrophysiology Lab Tech and play an essential role in supporting advanced cardiac diagnostic and interventional procedures. In this position, you will work collaboratively with electrophysiologists, nurses, and cardiovascular specialists to provide high-quality patient care in a technologically advanced clinical environment.
The Electrophysiology Lab Tech provides appropriate care in the EP lab. Circulates, scrubs and records diagnostic and interventional procedures. Operates appropriate medical equipment and software. This position also interacts professionally with customers and staff.

Responsibilities
  • Assists physician as necessary to provide support during all procedures.
  • Educates patient regarding pending procedure and answers all questions and concerns to the patient's satisfaction.
  • Ensures patient safety and comfort with regards to table pads and back support in preparation for procedure. =
  • Ensures all pertinent documentation is complete prior to start of procedure.
  • Utilizes appropriate sterile techniques to prevent contamination and transfer of infections.
  • Stays abreast on all equipment functions and associated precautions and hazards of all equipment used. Provides necessary support to maintain proper equipment function.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned by management within job scope.

Qualifications
Education / Training
  • Associates Degree in either Radiologic Technology, Cardiovascular Technology Program, or Respiratory Therapy

Experience Requirements
  • In lieu of education requirements, a minimum of five(5) years experience as an EP Technologist

Certificates/Licenses/Registration
  • FL Certified Radiologic Technologist license
  • FL Registered Respiratory Therapist license with valid American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
  • Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) Certification
  • Specialist (RCES) Certification (Required within 12 months of hire if no degree in the applicable fields Advanced
  • Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS)

Preferences:
American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Certification preferred.
Additional Information:
Certification as a Cardiovascular Technologist (CVT) OR Florida License as Radiology Technologist (RT)
BLS provided by the American Heart Association (AHA), required within 30 days of hire.
ACLS provided by the American Heart Association (AHA), required within 90 days of hire.
