The position reports to the Finance Manager/Controller and works closely with production and administrative staff across Baker's sites. This role is well suited to an experienced payroll professional who values steady, flexible part-time work in a supportive, mission-centered environment.

- Process weekly payroll for all employees using Paycom, including timekeeping review, corrections, and approvals

- Maintain accurate employee payroll records, including new hires, terminations, rate changes, and deductions

- Administer payroll-related withholdings and remittances, including retirement plan deferrals and benefit deductions

- Respond to employee questions about pay, deductions, and paystubs with accuracy and discretion

- Support quarterly and year-end payroll tax filings and W-2 processing in coordination with the Finance Manager/Controller

Unemployment Compensation

- Receive, track, and respond to unemployment compensation claims in a timely and accurate manner

- Gather supporting documentation from managers and personnel files as needed for claim responses

- Monitor claim outcomes and charges, and flag discrepancies or issues for the Finance Manager/Controller

Invoicing Support

- Track outstanding invoices and support follow-up on receivables

- Maintain organized billing records and assist with month-end close as needed

Qualifications

- 3+ years of payroll processing experience; experience with Paycom or a comparable payroll platform strongly preferred

- Working knowledge of payroll tax, wage and hour basics, and unemployment compensation processes

- Strong attention to detail and a track record of accuracy under recurring deadlines

- Demonstrated discretion in handling confidential employee and financial information

- Comfort with spreadsheets and standard office software; ability to learn new systems quickly

- Experience in a nonprofit or small-company setting is a plus, as is comfort working alongside a workforce development program

Schedule, Compensation & Benefits

- Part-time, approximately 24 hours per week; schedule is consistent week to week and set in coordination with the Finance Manager/Controller, with payroll processing days fixed

- $26.00-$30.00 per hour, commensurate with experience; hourly, non-exempt position

- Primarily on-site at Baker's administrative offices (currently Malvern, PA, transitioning to Norristown, PA in 2026)
