What does a part time insurance account manager do?

A Part Time Insurance Account Manager is responsible for managing client accounts, assisting clients with policy questions, processing renewals or changes, and ensuring customer satisfaction, all on a part-time schedule. They often work with both personal and commercial insurance clients to address their needs, explain coverage options, and help with claims. The role typically involves communication by phone, email, or in person, and requires attention to detail and strong organizational skills. Part time positions offer flexibility, making them ideal for those balancing other commitments.

How does working part time as an insurance account manager affect managing client portfolios and maintaining client relationships?

Part-time Insurance Account Managers typically focus on a dedicated client portfolio, allowing them to provide personalized service during their scheduled hours. While balancing workload in fewer hours can be challenging, strong organizational skills and clear communication with both clients and team members help ensure continuity of service. Many agencies use collaborative tools and shared documentation so part-time managers can easily coordinate with colleagues, ensuring clients' needs are met promptly. This structure also allows part-time staff to contribute meaningfully to client retention and satisfaction.

Familiarity with insurance management software (such as Applied Epic or AMS360) and CRM platforms is typically required. Excellent interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask help build lasting client relationships and efficiently handle diverse account needs. Job description

Looking for a flexible part-time job with growth potential?

If you're organized, detail-oriented, and enjoy working in a fast-paced office environment, we'd love to meet you! The Montez Insurance Agency is looking for a Part-Time Insurance Quoting Specialist to support our sales team by preparing accurate insurance quotes for prospective clients.

This is NOT a sales position. Instead, you'll play an essential role behind the scenes by creating complete, accurate insurance quotes that allow our licensed Sales Producers to focus on helping clients and closing business.

No insurance experience? That's okay! If you're motivated, tech-savvy, and eager to learn, we'll provide the training you need to succeed.

Schedule:

  • Monday – Friday: Approximately 2:00 PM – 6:00 PM
  • Optional Saturdays: Approximately 2 hours
  • Flexible afternoon schedule for the right candidate.

What You'll Do:

  • Prepare 10–15 complete household insurance quotes during each shift.
  • Produce 20–30+ household quotes per week (or agency production goals).
  • Enter customer information accurately into multiple insurance systems.
  • Review reports and verify information needed for accurate quoting.
  • Compare coverage options and ensure quotes are complete before assigning them to Sales Producers.
  • Maintain organized customer records within the agency CRM.
  • Assist with administrative and quoting projects as needed.

What We're Looking For:

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent computer, data entry, and typing skills.
  • Organized and able to multitask efficiently.
  • Dependable, punctual, and self-motivated.
  • Positive attitude with a team-first mentality.
  • Comfortable learning new software and technology.
  • Insurance experience is a plus—but not required. We'll train the right person!

Compensation Incentives

We believe in rewarding productivity and quality work.

Pay Includes:

  • Competitive hourly wage of $12.00 per hour
  • Performance Bonuses:
  • $1.00 per completed household quote for the first 1–10 quotes
  • $2.00 per completed household quote for 11–20 quotes
  • Paid training
  • Opportunities for advancement within the agency

The more quality quotes you produce, the more you can earn!

Why Join Montez Insurance Agency?

At Montez Insurance Agency, every team member plays an important role in our success. As our Quoting Specialist, you'll directly support our Sales Producers by providing accurate, ready-to-present quotes that help families protect what matters most.

You'll join a supportive, high-performing team that values hard work, recognizes achievement, and provides opportunities to grow your career.

If you're looking for a flexible part-time opportunity where your attention to detail and productivity are appreciated and rewarded, we'd love to hear from you.

Apply today and become part of a team that's invested in your success!
