Currently, a vacancy exist for a Part time Instructional Assistant working within the division of Career, Technical, & Customized Education at the Technical College High School - Brandywine Campus in Downingtown, PA for the 2026-2027 school year.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED, required
  • Experience working with secondary students, preferred
  • Current police, child abuse, & FBI Fingerprint clearances (within one year), required before start date

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Applicants will be responsible for assisting in the implementation of basic skills in high school academics and the career and technical programs
  • Must have the ability to work independently and as a member of a team in an educational setting
  • Assisting the Teacher:
    • Preparing instructional materials
    • Maintaining discipline and other behavior management functions
    • Arranging the learning environment
    • Assembling, adjusting, and maintaining equipment and technology used in the instructional program
    • Administering educational assessments
    • Performing other duties as assigned
  • Assisting with Students:
    • Working with individual students or small groups on activities assigned by the teacher
    • Assisting, within the constraints of specific program regulations, in the supervision of students during non-instructional times throughout the day such as lunchtime, entering or exiting the building, etc

Schedule:
  • Monday - Friday, 185 days per year, 6.5 hours per day

  • 0 - 9 yrs experience = $19.38
  • 10 - 13 yrs experience = $21.29

  • *Bachelor's degree is equivalent to 9 yrs experience on the scale = $19.38
  • *Master's degree is equivalent to 15 yrs experience on the scale = $23.19
