Clinical & Patient Care
Prepare patients for procedures, ensuring comfort and safety
Assist the dentist during treatments (four-handed dentistry)
Take and process digital X-rays and 3D imaging
Maintain sterilization and infection control protocols
Technology & Innovation
Operate advanced dental equipment (digital radiography, lasers, etc.)
Troubleshoot and maintain dental technology
Stay updated on emerging dental trends and tools
Administrative & Leadership
Manage inventory and supply ordering
Maintain accurate patient records
Train and mentor new or junior assistants
Ensure compliance with OSHA, HIPAA, and safety standards
Patient Education & Communication
Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care
Provide clear, compassionate communication
Address patient questions and concerns professionally

Salary Range

Part-time $25 - $28 per hour

Requirements

  • Open Dental

2+ years of dental assisting experience
X-ray certification (Florida)
Strong knowledge of infection control and sterilization
Proficiency with digital radiography and dental software
Excellent communication and teamwork skills

EFDA or expanded functions certification
Experience with 3D imaging, lasers, or CAD/CAM technology
Leadership or training experience
