LocationOverviewThe Safety & Security Officer plays a pivotal role in ensuring a safe, secure, and seamless environment for all guests and team members. This position is responsible for maintaining a visible security presence throughout the property, proactively identifying and addressing potential safety hazards, and upholding the brand's standards for protection and guest experience. The Officer conducts regular patrols, responds swiftly to incidents, and enforces hotel policies while delivering exceptional, servicefocused communication. This role is critical to safeguarding the wellbeing, privacy, and peace of mind of everyone on property. Hotel, Resort, or Nightlife expereince is required for this role.Responsibilities
  • Maintain a professional security presence throughout the property, using proper radio communication and monitoring lobby activity when not on patrol.
  • Conduct regular property patrols to ensure all areas are secure, free of hazards, and compliant with hotel policies.
  • Respond promptly to emergencies, including medical situations, guest disturbances, security incidents and provide First Aid/CPR when required.
  • Support guest experience by assisting with room access, conducting escorts, and addressing safety concerns with discretion and servicefocused communication.
  • Monitor security systems, including cameras and access points; verify identification and regulate access to secured areas for authorized personnel.
  • Investigate incidents such as accidents, property loss, theft, altercations, and guest or employee complaints; complete detailed and accurate reports.
  • Maintain confidentiality regarding guest and employee information and uphold legal and brand standards at all times.
  • Collaborate with Guest Services and outside agencies as needed, participating in shift briefings and ensuring smooth information flow.
  • Manage security-related equipment, including radios, keys, and pagers, ensuring accurate inventory and documentation.
Qualifications
  • High School diploma or equivalent required; prior hotel, security, or related experience preferred.
  • Ability to stand, walk, climb stairs, and respond quickly to incidents throughout the entire shift.
  • Capable of exerting up to 100 lbs. of force occasionally, 50 lbs. frequently, and 20 lbs. continuously to lift, carry, push, or pull objects.
  • Ability to physically deter individuals who pose a threat to guests, residents, or team members.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to engage courteously and professionally with guests and employees at all levels.
  • Excellent listening, problemsolving, and prioritization abilities in a fastpaced environment.
  • Warm, friendly, servicedriven demeanor with the ability to maintain professionalism under pressure.
