Location: Hotel Property - Asheville, NC
Shift: Overnight | 9:00 PM - 5:00 AM
Position Type: Part-Time
Position Overview
Sheepdog Protective Services is seeking a professional Unarmed Security Guard to provide overnight roaming security at a hotel property. This role focuses on visibility, customer service, patrol, documentation, and proactive issue prevention. The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, and understands that strong security starts with presence, communication, and judgment.
Primary Responsibilities
  • Maintain a visible and professional security presence throughout the property
  • Conduct routine and randomized foot patrols across all assigned floors and areas
  • Monitor guest and employee activity to deter unauthorized behavior
  • Assist guests and staff in a courteous, service-oriented manner
  • Identify, document, and report suspicious activity, safety concerns, or maintenance issues
  • Accurately complete daily activity reports and incident documentation
  • Notify Asheville Police Department when issues exceed the scope of unarmed security and fully document the incident
  • Record the entry of all emergency vehicles onto the property

Qualifications
  • Valid North Carolina Unarmed Guard Registration (or ability to obtain)
  • Reliable transportation
  • Ability to walk, stand, and patrol for extended periods
