Part-Time Bookkeeper

For 25+ years, Innovative Air has delivered residential HVAC, plumbing, electrical, insulation, and IAQ services with a customer-first, detail-focused approach. We're family-owned, locally operated, and built on Integrity, Respect, Accountability, Compassion, and Trust. We're looking for an experienced Part-Time Bookkeeper to join our team.

This part-time in-house position supports our remote bookkeeping firm and controller. As a Bookkeeper, you'll help keep our financial operations accurate, organized, and running smoothly. AP, AR, invoicing, reconciliations, progress billing will be your key focus. You'll handle day-to-day bookkeeping responsibilities, maintain clean records, and work closely with the internal team to support a growing residential home services company.

Key Responsibilities for Bookkeeper

  • Manage day-to-day bookkeeping tasks accurately and efficiently
  • AP, AR, invoicing, reconciliations, progress billing focused
  • Enter and maintain financial transactions in accounting software
  • Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable support
  • Process vendor invoices, payments, deposits, and customer payments
  • Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and financial records
  • Assist with payroll-related reporting and documentation as needed
  • Maintain organized financial files, records, and supporting documentation
  • Help track expenses, job costing details, and internal reporting
  • Communicate clearly with vendors, customers, and internal team members
  • Support month-end close, reporting, and general administrative accounting tasks
  • Identify discrepancies and help resolve accounting or billing issues promptly
  • Maintain confidentiality and accuracy with all financial information

Qualifications for Bookkeeper

  • 2 or more years of bookkeeping, accounting, or office finance experience
  • Experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, and general bookkeeping
  • Experience with Service Titan software a plus
  • Comfortable working with accounting software such as QuickBooks or similar platforms
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organization
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
  • Strong communication skills and a professional attitude
  • Experience in home services, construction, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, or trades is preferred, but not required
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and basic reporting tools
  • Dependable, trustworthy, and comfortable handling confidential information
  • Employment is contingent on passing a background check consistent with applicable law
