Position Summary

The Law Firm of Moumita Rahman PLLC is seeking a reliable and experienced Part-Time IT Specialist to provide onsite technical support and maintain the firm's technology infrastructure. This role is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of computer systems, networks, software applications, telecommunications, and cybersecurity measures while supporting attorneys and staff with day-to-day technology needs.

The ideal candidate is proactive, responsive, and capable of troubleshooting a wide range of technical issues in a fast-paced legal environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide onsite technical support to attorneys and staff.
  • Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot desktops, laptops, printers, scanners, phones, and other office technology.
  • Manage user accounts, passwords, permissions, and access controls.
  • Support Microsoft 365 applications
  • Monitor and maintain office internet connectivity performance, and wireless systems.
  • Coordinate software updates, and hardware upgrades.
  • Implement and maintain cybersecurity protocols, including antivirus software, firewalls, and data protection measures.
  • Assist with legal software support and integrations. (Mycase, Monday.com, etc)
  • Design and maintain backup and disaster recovery procedures.
  • Troubleshoot audio/visual equipment and conference room technology.
  • Coordinate with third-party IT vendors as needed.
  • Document technical procedures and maintain IT inventory records.
  • Recommend technology improvements to enhance efficiency and security.

Qualifications

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of IT support experience.
  • Experience supporting Microsoft 365 and Google environments.
  • Knowledge of Windows operating systems, networking, cybersecurity best practices, and cloud based technologies.
  • Experience troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
