Position Summary
As a Server at David’s Grill, you’ll deliver an exceptional dining experience to our members, golfers, and local guests. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys creating memorable moments, thrives in a team environment, and takes pride in providing polished, attentive service in a high-energy setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Provides prompt, friendly, and efficient service to all members and guests
- Maintains full knowledge of all food and beverage menus, including daily features
- Takes accurate food and beverage orders and enters them correctly into the point-of-sale system
- Serves food and beverages in a timely and professional manner
- Ensures compliance with all sanitation, safety, and alcohol service standards, including verifying legal drinking age and monitoring guest consumption
- Checks back with guests to ensure satisfaction and anticipates needs
- Suggests and upsells menu items such as desserts, coffee, and specialty beverages
- Processes cash and credit card payments according to established procedures
- Maintains clean, organized, and guest-ready tables, dining areas, and workstations
- Addresses guest concerns promptly and professionally and escalates when appropriate
- Maintains a polished and professional appearance at all times
- Completes opening, side work, and closing duties as assigned
- Supports team members and assists with additional tasks as needed
Qualifications
- 1+ year of food service experience preferred
- Understanding of both casual and upscale dining service standards
- Must meet state requirements for serving alcohol
