Job description

Turning Point Global Solutions is seeking an experienced part-time Functional Analyst to join our team.  You will collaborate with our customers to define product requirements, develop a product understanding, and communicate effectively to both business and technical audiences to deliver solutions. 

Location:  Rockville, MD Office

Work Schedule: Remote

Responsibilities:

  • Support business and technical teams in gathering, documenting, and analyzing business and system requirements.
  • Identify, analyze, and validate clients' business needs and requirements.
  • Develop and maintain business requirements, functional requirements, user stories, process flows, and acceptance criteria.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure implementation of the needed business, functional, and system requirements.
  • Apply Agile/Scrum practices, business analysis techniques, and project management methodologies
  • Participate in functional, integration, regression, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities and document testing results.
  • Assist with identifying, documenting, tracking, and validating defects using Jira.
  • Support requirements traceability by maintaining links between business requirements, user stories, test cases, and defects.
  • Participate in stakeholder meetings and communicate project updates, questions, risks, and requirements clearly.

U.S. Residency Requirements:

  • Must have lived in the United States at least three (3) out of the last five (5) years.
  • Must be living in the United States currently to be considered for this position, and continue to stay in the USA legally post-selection.
  • Must be able to go through the US Federal Public Trust Security Clearance

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree (Four years of specialized experience post high-school diploma may substitute for a Bachelor's degree).
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience, with at least 2 years of experience understanding business processes and gathering and documenting requirements.
  • Demonstrate ability to break down complex requirements into actionable work items.
  • Knowledge and experience of Agile software development methodology.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Prior experience with the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services or other federal agencies is a plus.
  • Skills: Business Analysis - Agile methodologies, User acceptance testing, Stakeholder management.
  • Tools: Atlassian Confluence, MS Office, MS Excel (advanced), ServiceNow

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role is $50,000. This salary is a general guideline only, as compensation decisions are based on relevant experience and educational qualifications.
