CNC Swiss Engineering Technician
Shift: Mon-Thu 5pm-5am
Position Summary
This role is working with Engineering to coordinate all production and post processing activities. The Engineering Technician will create CNC code that performs a capable, repeatable process, perform process troubleshooting, process improvements, validations, qualifications, and change control.
Key Responsibilities:
โข Interpret print and models, create CNC programs and set up machines to produce the component for Swiss or Milling machine centers
โข Select cutting tools that will achieve cost effective tool life and fully utilize the tool
โข Develop a process that is capable, cost effective and sustainable
โข Write work instructions and procedures to support the process
โข Full understanding of G-code
โข Advocate and implement the highest quality standards and LEAN principles
โข Assess and communicate technical specifications to all departments
โข Identify and complete continuous improvement projects
o Cycle time reduction
o Perishable tooling selection and cost reduction
โข Create and coordinate engineering tests
โข Perform quality assurance tests to ensure specification compliance
โข Assist/or develop in the development of tool design and CNC programming
โข Modify through change control, BOM/BOO within the ERP system
โข Assist with all costing and quoting functions - for tooling
โข Resolve daily manufacturing issues per LEAN structure
โข Maintain machining and secondary operational processes
โข All other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications:
โข 2 - 3 years of experience in technical field
โข Experience with CAD and CAM software - preferably Solid works, NX and Esprit
โข Proficient PC skills in a Windows environment, especially word and excel
โข Effective written and verbal communication skills
โข Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills
Preferred Qualifications:
โข Experience in the design and selection of fixturing and tooling for complex parts
โข Experience in a precision manufacturing shop environment
โข LEAN / Six Sigma training and demonstrated application
โข Experience working within an ISO 13485 environment
โข Ability to travel between LISI sites as needed

Physical Demands/Working Conditions:
โข Typically sits, grasps items, and performs keyboarding for frequent operation of a computer
โข Stand, walk, bend, reach, or otherwise move about occasionally
โข Lift, move or otherwise transfer items up to 30 pounds occasionally
โข Exposed to typical machine shop physical hazards occasionally
โข Travel by air or car occasionally
Compensation and Benefits Overview
Starting Pay Range for this position is $38-$44/Hour
Minimum pay rates offered will comply with applicable county or city regulations if they exceed the listed range. Actual pay rates are determined based on various factors, including but not limited to, local labor market conditions, years of relevant experience, education, professional certifications, foreign language proficiency, and other job-specific qualifications.
