Job description

Revenue Cycle Medical Billing

Shared Services Mail Processor IPP (intro patient packet)

Location:  On-Site, West Plains, MO

Hourly Compensation: $16

(this position is bonus eligible)

Work Schedule:  Part-Time, M-F

 

JOB SUMMARY

The part-time, Revenue Cycle Medical Billing – Mail Processor IPP (Intro Patient Packet) works within the Shared Services department to ensure incoming patient packet forms are documented and worked appropriately. mail is uploaded to the appropriate account and/or forwarded to the correct department.  Additionally, they ensure that other electronic documents are uploaded to our document management platform.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/DUTIES

  • Upload documents to document management platform for retention and review.
  • Utilize billing software to determine correct patient account number when one is not present.
  • Review incoming patient forms for potential updates in demographics and insurance coverage.
  • Review incoming HIPAA / Notice of Privacy Practice forms and document any additional directives given by patient.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required Experience:

  • 6 months data entry experience with an emphasis on 10-key use
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word
  • Proficient in basic computer commands such as Copy, Cut, Paste, Select All
  • Knowledge and experience of computers and related technology, at an intermediate level
  • Fluent in English

Preferred Experience:

  • Experience with Respond Billing / Sweet billing software
  • Experience with Kofax Batch Manager or other document management software
  • Proficient in keyboard hot keys (e.g. Ctrl + C to Copy)

 

Preferred Education: 

  • High school diploma
  • GED
  • Or significant, relevant work experience
