Job description

JOB SUMMARY

The Downtown Ranger position is part time and performs labor intensive tasks commonly related to routine maintenance of equipment, facilities, and grounds of various locations daily as directed.

QUALIFICATIONS

Special Requirements:

Possession of a valid class "C" Texas driver's license or higher required.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to operate a variety of equipment for indoor and outdoor projects.
  • Ability to paint interior and exterior.
  • Ability to understand and follow the City of Conroe policies and procedures.
  • Ability to understand and follow written and oral instructions.
  • Ability to safely operate a motor vehicle.
  • Ability to adapt to new technology, methods, or changing conditions.
  • Must be capable of reading, writing, and communicating in English.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

The work is heavy and requires the ability to exert up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects. The work may be performed outdoors in weather conditions. The work requires a substantial amount of walking during the day. Additionally, the following physical abilities are required: balancing, climbing, crawling, crouching, feeling, fingering, grasping, handling, hearing, kneeling, lifting, mental acuity, pulling, pushing, reaching, repetitive motions, speaking, standing, stooping, talking, and visual acuity.
