Downtown Full Time Security Officer 77010

Schedule

Saturday:0600-1400

Sunday:1400-2200

Monday:1400-2200

Tuesday:1400-2200

Wednesday: OFF

Thursday: OFF

Friday:0600-1400

Position Summary 

We are seeking professional and dependable Security Officers to staff a Class A downtown office building. Officers are responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for tenants, visitors, and property assets through visible patrols, access control, and prompt response to incidents. 

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor and control access to the building, including visitor and contractor sign-in procedures
  • Conduct routine interior and exterior patrols to deter and detect security concerns
  • Observe, report, and document suspicious activity, safety hazards, and incidents
  • Respond appropriately to alarms, emergencies, and tenant requests
  • Enforce building rules, security procedures, and post orders in a professional manner
  • Provide customer service to tenants and visitors while maintaining a security presence
  • Complete accurate daily activity reports and incident reports
  • Coordinate with property management, emergency services, and on-site staff as needed
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to remain alert and professional for extended periods
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
  • Reliable transportation and consistent attendance
  • Prior security, military, or law enforcement experience preferred but not required
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
  • Ability to climb stairs and conduct building patrols
