Job description

Phileo Shared Services is seeking a Part-Time Development Director to lead fundraising strategy and execution across a network of Christian school partners. This role is ideal for a development professional who is passionate about Christian education and skilled at building strong donor relationships, systems, and strategies.


Phileo teams will collectively provideup to 20 hours per week of development services across multiple schools. The Development Director will work in close partnership with school leadership and advancement staff to grow donor engagement and meet annual fundraising goals. This is a hybrid position with flexible scheduling and occasional in-person meetings or events as needed.


Key Responsibilities

Development Services & Strategy

  • Review and optimize development office processes and procedures at each partner school
  • Build and execute an
    annual development calendar to guide communications, appeals, and events
  • Help establish or manage a Development Committee to support and extend fundraising capacity

Donor Engagement & Cultivation

  • Maintain 5+ significant touchpoints annually with existing donors to foster deeper relationships
  • Support school leadership in donor cultivation meetings and stewardship efforts
  • Assist in designing and implementing donor recognition and retention strategies

Fundraising Campaigns & Events

  • Lead EITC/OSTC outreach, including planning and executing a fall informational breakfast
  • Develop and implement seasonal campaigns and year-end giving strategies
  • Collaborate on materials to support annual fund, major gift, and capital campaign efforts

Grants & Institutional Support

  • Identify relevant grant opportunities and support the grant writing process
  • Maintain organized records of grant submissions, deadlines, and reporting requirements


Qualifications

  • 5+ years of fundraising or development experience (education or nonprofit sector preferred)
  • Demonstrated success in annual fund, donor relations, and event-based fundraising
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • Strategic, self-motivated, and highly organized
  • Ability to collaborate across multiple teams and adapt to different school cultures
  • A passion for Christian education, paired with a commitment to DC's mission and alignment with biblical values.
  • Personal commitment to Jesus Christ and solid understanding of the Word of God. There should be evidence of a godly lifestyle based on a commitment to Jesus Christ.


Work Schedule & Location:

  • Part-time remote work with flexible scheduling
  • Occasional in-person meetings in the greater Philadelphia region
