Job Summary:
American Rheinmetall is seeking a parttime Simulation Engineer to develop simulation models of its manufacturing operations. These models will represent the operation’s throughput, material movement, equipment requirements, space needs and labor planning.
Essential Functions:
  • Within Siemens Plant Simulation, build discrete event simulation models for various parts of the manufacturing or logistic process – Machine, Weld, Paint and General Assembly
  • Develop 3D models that simulate throughput capabilities, bottlenecks, buffer sizing, and material routing
  • Co-develop standards for discrete event simulation models including development of a library of simulation assets with properties and performance characteristics.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • 2+ years of experience in simulation model development using Siemens Plant Simulation
  • 5+ years of experience in industrial or manufacturing engineering, with focus on applying discrete event simulation to enhance process efficiency
  • Structured problem solver with experience in discrete event simulation and experience working in manufacturing operations
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to travel etc.
Education amp; Experience
  • 2+ years of experience in simulation model development using Siemens Plant Simulation
  • 5+ years of experience in industrial or manufacturing engineering, with focus on applying discrete event simulation to enhance process efficiency
Background Prerequisites:
Must undergo and meet company standards for background check, employment verification, reference checks, physical, and controlled substance testing.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or technology
