Job description

Pizza Cook
Department: Kitchen
Employment Type: Part Time
Location: Greensboro
Compensation: $600 - $900 / week
Description
At Boxcar, our product is a good time. For us, that means cold drinks, exciting games, great pizza, and even better people.
Boxcar has four locations across North Carolina. We're not a chain. We value personality. What ties each spot together is a team that cares deeply about making each guest's night a great one and looking out for one another.
Our kitchen is the engine that keeps the party going. This isn't the pizza you remember from the arcade growing up. We run a scratch-made, hand-tossed operation that our customers can watch. We take real pride in the product. If you can handle the heat, the dough, and the crowd, keep reading.
What You'll Do
  • Sling dough. Execute our scratch recipes with consistency, from hand-tossing to the perfect bake.
  • Face the crowd. Our kitchen is open format. You will take orders, run the POS, and interact with guests while you work.
  • Feed the parties. Knock out large catering orders for our private events without slowing down the main line.
  • Keep it fresh. Tackle prep work, manage inventory, and keep your station spotless and food-safe.
  • Do the dirty work. Dishes, deep cleans, and closing duties are part of the gig. We leave the kitchen better than we found it.

What We're Looking For
Our Non-Negotiables
  • No a**holes. We value kindness, honesty, integrity, and consideration. If you can't abide by that, Boxcar isn't the place for you.
  • One team, one dream. We don't do silos or pass the buck. Pitch in and help out, even if it's not your core responsibility. No job is too small.

What Else We're Looking For
  • Experience. Experience in a busy kitchen is great, and hand-tossing skill is a major plus. But, we can train someone with the right attitude.
  • Conscientiousness. You take the job seriously, but you don't take yourself too seriously.
  • Genuine hospitality. You like people, and it shows in how you work.
  • Reliability. Full stop. Show up, on time, every time.
  • Physically ready. You are able to stand for 8 hours and lift over 50 lbs.
  • Certification. ServSafe Food Handler Certification is a plus.

What We Offer You
What We Offer You
  • A culture you actually like. We aim to foster an environment where people want to work. We treat adults like adults, but don't forget to have fun like kids.
  • Growth opportunities. This doesn't have to be the last job you have at Boxcar. We want to invest in your career. We prefer to promote from within and find ways to keep our best people around.
  • The good stuff. 50% pizza discount, after-shift drink, competitive benefits available, and a workplace that is literally an arcade.

If you made it this far, let's talk. Apply now.
