Job description

MLB is seeking a part-time Ad Operations Coordinator who will primarily be responsible for trafficking and managing digital advertising campaigns. These video and display ad campaigns run across a myriad of devices and platforms including MLB.TV (Desktop, Mobile, and CTV streaming devices), MLB.com, MLB's 30 team sites, and the MLB mobile app. This role reports directly to the Ad Operations Manager and works closely with our Client Services, Marketing, Ticketing, and E-Commerce departments.
Responsibilities
  • Being an expert ad trafficker in Google Ad Manager to set up complex ad campaigns and custom sponsorship programs
  • Building out and/or pushing campaign orders from our order management system (FatTail's AdBook+) to our ad server (Google Ad Manager)
  • Must have a flexible, personable attitude - the job requires constant information sharing across departments; professional relationships with all levels of personnel are necessary
  • Ongoing quality assurance support; troubleshoot all types of creatives and tags on various platforms
  • Identify opportunities to implement solutions that increase the effectiveness and efficiencies of the Ad Ops department, including the development of tools, process, and reports related to job responsibilities
  • Strong communication and client relationship skills; ability to publicly present ideas and share information
  • Ability to accommodate evolving responsibilities and last-minute changes
  • Flexible schedule: the job requires weekend and evening coverage schedules
  • Familiarity with the game of baseball

Qualifications & Skills
  • 1+ years of experience or knowledge with Google Ad Manager (or similar ad server) and FatTail's AdBook+ (or similar order management system)
  • Strong attention to detail and well organized
  • Experience with ticket-based workflow management systems a plus (JIRA or similar)
  • 3rd party ad tag implementation and troubleshooting (BrowserStack, SauceLabs) for desktop/mobile web, video, OTT, and app
  • Technical understanding of digital ecosystem, i.e. HTML, XML, JavaScript, VAST and VPAID
  • Debugging and HTML proxy tools including Charles, Firebug, Chrome Developer Tools

Pay Rate: $30.00 per hour
