The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and relevant experience in inventory management. The role requires effective multitasking and the ability to make quick, informed decisions based on available information. As with all positions at RB Global, this role is committed to fostering a strong safety culture that benefits employees, colleagues, and stakeholders.
About the team - Yard Operations
We conduct hundreds of live auctions each year around the world. It takes a hardworking team of energetic people in a wide variety of full-time and part-time roles to conduct a successful multi-million dollar auction - from equipment inspectors, yard managers and operators to administrative staff and customer service representatives.
- 1-3 years of experience in inventory control, supply chain management, or a related field is often preferred.
- Inventory management systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar software) and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, for tracking and reporting.
- Ability to perform tasks on specific types of equipment, transportation assets, and industry-relevant assets (e.g., construction, transportation, manufacturing, consumer, oil and gas, agriculture) may be beneficial.
- Proven ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and maintain accurate records.
- Experience demonstrating strong attention to detail in previous roles, particularly in data entry and record-keeping.
- Proven Ability to effectively communicate and interact with team members, suppliers, and management.
- Ability to perform basic mathematics for inventory calculations, cost analysis, and reporting.
- Work both indoors and outdoors year-round, and climb on and off large equipment trucks.
- Promote Safety Culture: Foster a safety culture by prioritizing the health and safety of all employees and customers, applying the "see something, say something" principle, and clearly communicating safety requirements within the yard. Safely operate vehicles to move and store equipment within the facility, ensuring proper handling and adherence to safety protocols.
- Customer Service: Serve as the first point of contact for customer queries related to equipment inventory, providing guidance to customers delivering or picking up and visitors. As needed, direct customers to the appropriate team member for further assistance.
- Inventory Management: Oversee and maintain accurate records of all assets on the property, including equipment receiving, release, and reconciliation of past sales. Ensure efficient tracking and organization of inventory across all sale cycles and selling channels. Enforce storage policies and implement best practices to optimize yard space, utilization, and turnover.
- Equipment Identification and Labeling: Ensure accurate identification and labeling of equipment by recording details such as make, model, serial numbers, and seller reference numbers, maintaining an organized inventory.
- Team & Customer Communication: Communicate clearly and effectively with team members and customers via email, Teams, and phone to ensure smooth daily operations.
- Documentation & Compliance: Accurately manage and process documentation, including TDG, BOL, ESQ, delivery tickets, and customs paperwork, ensuring compliance with regulations. Maintain proper documentation within internal systems such as MARS Desktop, iInspector Application, Salesforce, and SaleSite.
- Process Adherence & Reporting: Adhere to established processes and procedures while assisting the team manager in managing application reporting tasks. Promptly report on Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to ensure alignment with organizational standards.
