Job description

Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk for a part-time contract opportunity with an architectural and design services organization in San Francisco, CA. This role will support the Controller with billing, accounts payable, and general accounting tasks during a software conversion project.
This is a great opportunity for an early-career accounting professional who enjoys accurate, hands-on work and wants exposure to billing processes, accounting systems, and a collaborative office environment. The team offers training on Deltek Vision, supportive leadership, and a flexible part-time schedule while working onsite with finance and operations professionals.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Controller with daily accounting and administrative tasks.
- Assist with billing activities, including preparing, reviewing, and processing invoices.
- Handle basic accounts payable support, including invoice entry and payment-related documentation.
- Use Deltek Vision, Excel, and Word to complete accounting records and reports.
- Maintain accurate financial documentation during a temporary software conversion period.
- Communicate with internal team members to resolve billing or accounts payable questions.
Compensation and Benefits
- Pay rate: $25.00 to $26.00 per hour.
- Job type: Contract/Temporary.
- Schedule: 16 to 20 hours per week.
- Flexible part-time schedule.
- Work arrangement: 100% onsite in San Francisco, CA.
- Assignment length: Temporary opportunity expected to last a few months during a software conversion.
