Position Highlights
The College of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Arizona is seeking a Research Data Support Specialist II (Part-Time). The Research Data Support Specialist II will be responsible for:
  • Collaborating and consulting with researchers in designing studies.
  • Analyzing data and publishing results.
  • Performing statistical and/or mathematical programming.
  • Evaluating new platforms, techniques, scientific programs and maintaining data bases.
  • Creating reports and visual representations by gathering and analyzing data from various databases and resources.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Perform a variety of activities such as receiving, coding, reviewing, entering, cleaning, and reconciling research data.
  • Maintain databases and produce reports for various purposes.
  • Input, review, and consolidate qualitative and quantitative data into research databases or computer systems, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Identify and resolve data discrepancies and locating missing data elements.
  • Communicate with internal and external researchers, administrators and others to provide data and reports.
  • Collaborate and improve data handling processes with various university teams, faculty and administrators.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Knowledge of data research practices and procedures.
  • Knowledge using multiple databases.
  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to provide attention to detail and follow-through.
