Job description

Community Connections, Inc. is seeking a part-time Data Manager to maintain and manage Early Intervention (EI) data provided by EI Service Coordinators and Providers in both the State’s EI database and Communication Connections, Inc.'s (CCI’s) Electronic Health Records system, as well as other data systems to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and efficient operation of the program. Position entails ongoing communication with Early Intervention staff. Hours and work schedule are flexible Monday – Friday between 8:30 am – 6:00 pm, as scheduled with Program Director. Candidate must be able to work 20-25 hours weekly.

Part-Time benefits include: 401K participation after 12 months of employment and 1,000 hours worked within those 12 months; Employee Assistance Program (EAP); unlimited Personal Time Off (PTO).

Title: Early Intervention Data Manager

Reports to: Early Intervention Program Director

FLSA: Hourly/nonexempt Part-time Hybrid

Location: This position may work primarily from the Sawyer office in Durango, and remotely as appropriate.

Hourly Rate: $18.91

Job Description: This position will maintain and manage Early Intervention (EI) data provided by EI Service Coordinators and Providers in both the State’s EI database and CCI’s Electronic Health Records system, as well as and other data systems to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and efficient operation of the program. Position entails ongoing communication with Early Intervention staff. Hours and work schedule are flexible Monday – Friday between 8:30 am – 6:00 pm, as scheduled with Program Director. Candidates must be able to work 20-25 hours weekly.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Maintain data in the various systems that CCI/Early Intervention uses to conduct the program. This includes the State Salesforce-based Unicorn (dedicated to Early Intervention), On Target (in-house Electronic Health Records and billing system), various Excel spreadsheets, San Data (Colorado Medicaid’s Electronic Visit Verification system), and Atrezzo-Kepro (Colorado Medicaid’s system to process Prior Authorization Requests).
  • Communicate regularly (via email and directly) with Service Coordinators, Service Providers (therapists), the EI Billing Manager, State Early Intervention staff, and the Program Director (EI Coordinator) to clarify the accuracy of documentation and processes.
  • Monitor Service Coordinator data entry to ensure it is timely and accurate and compile regular assessments of overall compliance with regulatory expectations (“Indicator data”).
  • Assist Service Coordinators with inputting data into the UNICORN as needed.
  • Process and monitor Prior Authorization Requests and Prior Authorizations.
  • Regularly review ongoing UNICORN updates, bugs and repairs which are communicated to local EI programs by the State Office of Early Intervention..
  • Collaborate with the Program Director to use data to ensure regulatory compliance and efficient operation of the program.
  • Participate in regular Early Intervention staff meetings.
  • Share in answering and transferring calls made to the main CCI phone number – one day per week.
  • Other duties as assigned by the EI Program Director.

  • Must have two years administrative/ clerical experience. Prior work in the human services field with families, children and/or adults is a plus.

Physical Demands of the Job: These essential tasks may be performed with or without accommodations or assistive technology. Employees in this position may spend significant hours on the computer writing and corresponding. The employee must be able to read text on the computer and paper documents. Communicating with others via email, letters and telephone is required. An employee in this position will use a laptop computer and may also have documents and files that they will need to transport within and outside the office. The employee will be required to attend meetings, training and other community activities within the region of Southwest Colorado.
