Job description

Part-Time, Hourly, Non-Exempt. Availability on Sunday mornings (4-5 hours), plus Approximately 12-15 hours During the Week, and Occasional Special Events.

SUMMARY

The Kids Ministry Curriculum and Resource Coordinator at St. Andrewโ€™s Presbyterian supports the mission and vision of Childrenโ€™s Ministries by providing organizational support and structure to events and programming. The role focuses on preparing and managing curriculum, maintaining ministry resources, and equipping volunteers with the tools they need to succeed.ย  This coordinator is well organized and delights in details in the support of discipleship excellence.

Essential Roles & Responsibilities

  • Curriculum and Teaching Support
  • Prepare, organize and distribute curriculum materials for all Childrenโ€™s Ministry programs and classrooms.
  • Ensure curriculum is printed, assembled, and distributed in advance for weekly ministry use (preparing monthly).
  • Organize and maintain curriculum, resource systems, archives, and teaching materials for easy access.
  • Serve as a resource for volunteers who need to supplement their lesson plans.
  • Available to teach and/or lead programming with children as needed.
  • Resource and Supply Management
  • Organize, maintain, and improve childrenโ€™s ministry resource rooms, supply closets and storage spaces.
  • Create systems that keep materials labeled, stocked, and easily accessible.
  • Monitor inventory and order supplies, craft items, and ministry resources as needed, for both Sunday morning programs and special events, such as VBS.
  • Plan and coordinate regular workdays to organize, clean and maintain ministry spaces.
  • Events and Ministry Support
  • Assist with planning and preparation for special events, such as VBS, Fall Fest, and other outreach and family events.
  • Provide a welcoming and loving environment for children, parents and volunteers when serving in a Childrenโ€™s Ministry classroom.
  • Help coordinate materials, logistics and volunteer support for ministry events.
  • Participate in Childrenโ€™s Ministry team meetings and training opportunities. ย 

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPECTATIONS

  • Active and growing relationship with Jesus Christ, modeling Jesus in leadership and relationships.
  • Agreement with and support of the mission, vision, and values of St. Andrews Presbyterian.
  • Bachelorโ€™s degree with at least 2 years experience working with children.
  • Relational leader who values collaboration and direct communication.
  • Committed to personal growth, innovation, and equipping others for ministry.
  • Musical ability (guitar or keys strongly) preferred.
  • Experience with ProPresenter and Planning Center preferred.
