Position Summary
The Server is responsible for providing exceptional food and beverage service to Park Country Club members and their guests in a professional, polished, and welcoming environment. Servers are expected to anticipate member needs, demonstrate strong knowledge of food and beverage offerings, and consistently deliver the high level of hospitality expected at a premier private club.
Essential Responsibilities
  • Provide attentive, professional, and personalized service to members and guests throughout the dining experience.
  • Greet members promptly and professionally while creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of all food and beverage menus, including ingredients, preparation methods, allergens, wine, beer, spirits, and cocktails.
  • Accurately take food and beverage orders and communicate them effectively to the kitchen and bar.
  • Maintain proper table settings, service standards, and dining room appearance throughout service.
  • Anticipate member needs and provide proactive service without being intrusive.
  • Make knowledgeable food and beverage recommendations and identify opportunities for additional sales.
  • Deliver food and beverages accurately and according to Park Country Club service standards.
  • Monitor tables throughout the meal and respond promptly to requests, questions, and concerns.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of dining areas, service stations, and equipment.
  • Process checks and payments accurately while following club procedures.
  • Communicate member preferences, special requests, and service issues to management.
  • Work collaboratively with culinary, banquet, beverage, and management teams.
  • Follow all New York State alcohol service regulations and Park Country Club policies.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor at all times.
  • Attend required training and pre-shift meetings.
  • Perform opening, side-work, and closing duties as assigned.

Qualifications
  • Previous restaurant, hotel, country club, or fine-dining experience preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, member-focused environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask.
  • Ability to remain calm and professional during busy periods.
  • Basic knowledge of food, wine, beer, and spirits preferred.
  • Must be dependable, punctual, and team-oriented.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and safely carry food and beverage trays.
  • Must meet all applicable New York State requirements for alcohol service.

Every Park Country Club Server is expected to:
  • Know the Member - recognize preferences and provide personalized service.
  • Own the Experience - take responsibility for the member's entire dining experience.
  • Anticipate Needs - deliver service before the member has to ask.
  • Communicate Clearly - maintain professional communication with members and teammates.
  • Protect the Club Standard - maintain the appearance, professionalism, and hospitality expected at Park Country Club.

Requirements
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
  • 1-2 years as a server in an upscale environment.
  • Ability to stand for long period of hours.
  • Ability to carry 30-50lbs.
