Overview

The Country Club of Asheville is seeking energetic and enthusiastic Tennis Summer Camp Counselors to join our team for the summer season. Camp Counselors play an important role in creating a fun, safe, and engaging environment for junior campers while helping lead tennis instruction, games, and daily camp activities.

This position is ideal for individuals who enjoy working with children, love being active outdoors, and are passionate about tennis and creating a positive camp experience.

Part-time and seasonal positions offer a complimentary staff meal and limited access to tennis and golf facilities.

Responsibilities
  • Assist with daily tennis instruction and drills for junior players of various ages and skill levels
  • Help organize and supervise camp games, activities, and match play
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of all campers at all times
  • Create a fun, energetic, and inclusive camp environment
  • Assist with camp setup, cleanup, and daily operations
  • Communicate professionally with parents, members, and staff
  • Encourage sportsmanship, teamwork, and positive attitudes among campers
  • Help maintain courts, equipment, and common areas throughout camp
  • Attend staff meetings and training sessions as required
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Tennis Professional Staff
Qualifications
  • Positive attitude and strong work ethic
  • Enjoy working with children in a group setting
  • Tennis playing or coaching experience preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work outdoors in summer weather conditions
  • Dependable, punctual, and team-oriented
  • Ability to remain energetic and engaged throughout the camp day
  • CPR/First Aid certification is a plus, but not required
  • Must be at least 16 years old
