Omaha Country Club is a premier, private Club offering our members and their guests an exceptional experience through our fine dining restaurant and event spaces, championship golf course, tennis facility, pool, and superb amenities. Providing outstanding customer service to our members is our goal each and every day.
Omaha Country Club is seeking friendly, motivated, service-oriented individuals to join our team of Bartenders in our historic Clubhouse overlooking the magnificent golf course. Bartenders mainly work in our bar and pub areas of the Clubhouse, but will also tend bar during special events at other locations on our campus. If you have a warm, engaging demeanor, enjoy mixing drinks, and have a passion for serving others, come join our team and work in the beautiful atmosphere of the OCC Clubhouse!
JOB DUTIES
Go above and beyond, working collaboratively with the culinary and dining service teams to ensure all members and guests enjoy an impeccable bar and dining experience.
Serve all members of Omaha Country Club with a warm, approachable, respectful, professional demeanor with the intent of developing and nurturing relationships over time.
Maintain an efficiently run bar area that is clean, neat and appropriately stocked.
Prepare and serve craft and classic cocktails, non-alcoholic beverages, beer and wine.
Greet members and guests promptly, take food and beverage orders, and ensure all orders are served promptly and to member specifications.
Develop knowledge of menu items to accurately answer questions about ingredients, cooking techniques, and wine pairings.
Clear dishes to ensure proper cleanliness during and after meal service.
Accurately enter transaction information into the computerized POS system.
Abide by all state and federal regulations and policies for serving alcoholic beverages.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Bartending experience at a high-end private club, hotel/resort or restaurant preferred but not required.
Strong knowledge of craft and classic cocktails, beer, and wine.
Genuine desire to provide the utmost in service excellence.
Exhibits a neat, clean and professional appearance.
A natural team player with a friendly, optimistic, can-do attitude.
Self-motivated, understands the importance of being efficient and keeping busy.
Able to multi-task and problem solve while working in a fast-paced environment.
Capable of being discreet while handling conversations and issues with confidentiality.
Strong verbal communication skills while always striving for accuracy.
Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time and be able to lift 30 pounds.
Must be fluent in English.
Must be 19 years of age or older.
Must be punctual, have reliable attendance, a valid driver's license, and dependable transportation.
Must be able to abide by the OCC Tobacco, Alcohol and Drug Policy.
Must have a valid Food Handler Certification or be able to obtain one prior to start date.
SCHEDULE
Part-time positions available.
This position requires evening, weekend, and holiday availability.
COMPENSATION
Starting Pay Rate: $17.00 per hour.
