Job description

Summary: The Part-Time Content Designer is responsible for creating and adapting digital content for engaging and accessible experiences within spaces at the Saint Louis Art Museum and beyond. This position works closely with the User Experience team and stakeholders across the design division, and internal stakeholders to coordinate creativity, accuracy, and quality.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Adapt and develop designs across multiple digital platforms managed by the Saint Louis Art Museum including digital signage with static and motion graphics; web content; and email marketing, as assigned:
  • Design and maintain production of deliverables following established Museum guidelines and best practices
  • Collaborate with inter-departmental and/or cross-departmental team members to plan and execute projects according to set deadlines
  • Provide stakeholders status reports on assigned projects including any issues or delays
  • Gather and interpret feedback to improve content decisions
  • Ensure that deliverables are reviewed before publication in coordination with Senior Designer for Art Direction
  • Optimize, upload, and manage files across platforms
  • Assist with UX writing for interactive elements
  • Attend project meetings as assigned
  • Maintain project and task status within project management systems
  • Stay up-to-date with current tools and best practices in content design and user experience.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree and a minimum of three years' experience in content design, motion graphics, video/audio editing, and content management are required (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
  • Knowledge of digital accessibility is also required.
  • Must be experienced with Figma, Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere or After Effects), Microsoft 365 (Teams, Word, Excel, and Planner), and one or more content management systems and email marketing platforms.
  • Have strong attention to detail, clear communication, and good judgment are required.
  • Must be able to balance several projects at once, as well as solicit and apply feedback from multiple stakeholders.

Additional Details:
Pay Range: $29.12 - $35.67/hour, commensurate with experience
Status: Regular, Part-Time
