General Description: A light duty cleaner is generally responsible for cleaning tasks including but not limited to hard surface floor cleaning, carpeted area vacuuming, dusting, cleaning washrooms and kitchenettes, and the collection of garbage and recycling.

Schedule: Part Time

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Cultivate a culture that promotes inclusion, innovation, productivity, and collaboration.
  • Build strong relationships, listen intently, and utilize clear & transparent communication.
  • Participate in all training as required.
  • Adhere to all health and safety regulations as outlined by the Company.
  • Sweep/dry mop, and wash/buff floors and stairwells utilizing manual and power scrubbing equipment as applicable.
  • Vacuum carpets and matting in offices and common areas. Spot clean daily and shampoo when directed rugs in assigned buildings.
  • Maintain and carry out preventative maintenance procedures on floor machines, vacuums, automatic scrubbers and buffers.
  • Additional responsibilities as applicable to site:
  • Empty garbage and recycling containers, replace liners, and transport garbage/recycling to collection points
  • Ensure washrooms and kitchens/kitchenettes are fully cleaned including clean/disinfect and polish fixtures and appliances as applicable, door handles, walls, mirrors, countertops, partitions, waste receptacles and floors.
  • Replenish supply of consumables such as toilet paper, hand towels, soap, sanitizer, etc.
  • Spot clean walls, doors, kick plates, etc. removing marks and smudges from vertical surfaces.
  • Clean elevator(s) as applicable.
  • Monitors possible defects such as clogged urinals and lights out
  • High dusting and wall washing.
  • Additional duties as required.

Requirements:

  • Must be able to take direction, to work with minimal supervision, and to function cooperatively as part of a team.
  • Requires attention to detail, a pride in delivering excellent service, organization, and high levels of energy and endurance.
  • Ability to use cleaning tools and equipment.
  • Experience with auto scrubbers an asset.
  • Dependable and have reliable transportation.
