Description:

The TwelveStone Infusion Centers LLC, manages the Infusion needs of patient’s and maintains the continuum of care, from intake, assessment, and treatment through the completion of their visit. Our primary focus is the safe and effective administration of biologic medications (e.g., Remicade, Tysabri, etc. On occasion there is a need for sterile dressing changes and lab draws.

We are currently hiring a Part-Time Registered Nurse for our infusion center located in Huntsville, Alabama. You will be the RN responsible for safely and efficiently delivering infusion therapy to our customers suffering from chronic diseases and acute medical illnesses. We welcome RNs from all medical backgrounds with a positive attitude, preferably possessing outstanding IV skills, and requiring a license in the state of practice. Anticipated work schedule will be part time, Tuesday thru Thursday 8:00am-4:30pm.

Responsibilities include:

  • Perform analysis of patient data including status of lab work, patient assessments
  • Report changes to onsite APP (advanced practice provider)
  • Perform initial and ongoing patient assessments
  • Provide patient education; participates in clinic quality improvement process.
  • Conduct individualized patient assessments, prioritizing the data collection based on the patient’s immediate condition or needs within timeframe specified by client facility’s policies, procedures or protocols.
  • Administer medications, infusion therapy, and other appropriate treatments per prescriber orders, and under the supervision of the clinic APP
  • Document, verify and ensure implementation of physician orders, accurate and timely clinical documentation. Documents patient assessment findings, physical/psychosocial responses to nursing intervention and progress towards problem resolution.
  • Deliver care with appropriate age and cultural competence to specific patient populations according to individualized needs. Maintain confidentiality in matters related to patient, family and client facility staff. Provide care in a non-judgmental, non-discriminatory manner that is sensitive.
Requirements:

Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in nursing, Associate degree in Nursing and current, unrestricted RN license in the state of practice. Must have a current, CPR certification (BLS minimum, including hands-on/in-person assessment). Minimum of one years’ experience providing nursing care preferred. Infusion experience preferred; Telephone, MS Office and computer/keyboard skills required. Previous EMR experience preferred.
