JOB DESCRIPTION
| Position Title: | Night Auditor - Part Time |
| Department: | Accounting
| Reports to: | Director of Finance and Accounting

Compensation

Summary of Position
Accurately verify that all daily charges to guest accounts are correctly posted, and prepare summary reports of daily income.
Duties & Responsibilities
  • Balances the rooms section of the audit:
  • Ensure all system postings
  • Check accuracy of occupied rooms
  • Verify correct market codes and rate of market code
  • Balances the food and beverage section of the audit:
  • Accurate reads and closes all food and beverage outlet registers
  • Audits and accurately prepares all food and beverage outlet reports
  • Compares banquet tickets to banquet event orders to ensure all charges are posted
  • Neatly and accurately prepares tipped employee report
  • Ensures proper posting and transmittal of all credit card charges:
  • Ensures posting to proper amount is charged
  • Accurately posts front office charges to city ledger accounts
  • Ensures daily transmission of credit card charges to center
  • Acts as night GSR and/or Manager on Duty, as required during the 11pm to 7am shift
  • Performs Daily, Weekly and Monthly functions as related to the computers and point of sale systems
  • Keep immediate supervisor promptly and fully informed of all problems or unusual matters of significance which require corrective action
  • Conduct and/or attend meetings as required
  • Prepare reports as requested, to develop an informative database for improved management decision making and critical evaluation of work activities
  • Perform all accountabilities in a professional, timely and efficient manner, following established company policy and projecting a favorable image to achieve objectives, public recognition, and acceptance as the preferred hotel company
  • And, any other duties needed to help drive our vision, fulfill our mission, and abide by our Organization's values.

Essential Functions
  • Ability to verbally communicate effectively with guests and co-workers.
  • Prolonged periods of standing and/or walking.
  • Ability to visually check work, work area, and hotel space.
  • Minimum lifting of 30 pounds.

Notice:
ARLLC, operating as Augusta Marriott at the Convention Center, function seven days a week, twenty-four hours a day. You as an associate must realize this fact and be aware that at times, it may be necessary to move you from your accustomed shift, as business demands. In addition, you understand that business determines the amount of hours you work, and that some weeks may be scheduled for less than forty hours, and on other weeks you may be scheduled to work more than forty hours per week.
