EHHS is looking for a Generalist MLT, MLS/CLS to work in a full-service Hospital Laboratory.
Job duties include:
  • Phlebotomy
  • Hematology
  • Coagulation
  • Chemistry
  • Immunochemistry
  • Serology
  • Urinalysis
  • Arterial Blood Gases
  • Blood Bank
  • Microbiology

More specifically, this role:
  • Performs a broad range of laboratory testing and tasks of the medical laboratory; performs advanced and complex laboratory procedures; recognizes deviation from expected results; analyzes and corrects problems using scientific principles and critical thinking.
  • Evaluates and solves problems related to collection and processing of biological specimens for analysis.
  • Maintains and documents the optimal functioning of laboratory equipment; uses, calibrates, identifies malfunctions, repairs, and performs preventative maintenance of laboratory equipment.
  • Performs and documents quality control and assurance activities and corrective actions.
  • Adheres to biosafety practices and regulations.
  • Answers inquiries regarding test results, methodology, and factors which influence test results.
  • May evaluate and implement new techniques and procedures in the laboratory in terms of equipment, method comparison, and establishment of reference intervals.
  • Familiarity with Epic Beaker a plus.

Requirements
Our ideal candidate will be certified as one of the following:
  • Medical Laboratory Technician
  • Medical Technologist
  • Clinical Laboratory Scientist

by the American Society for Clinical Pathology Board of Certification (ASCP-BOC), American Society of Clinical Pathology Board of Registry (ASCP-BOR), American Medical Technologist (AMT), or equivalent.
