Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Medical Biller / Team Lead role based in Linden, NJ. The Medical Biller / Team Lead will oversee daily billing operations, including claim creation, submission, follow-up, and payment posting for a range of payers. This role will guide and support billing team members, assign and monitor workloads, and ensure adherence to established policies, procedures, and performance metrics. The position involves investigating and resolving denials, coordinating with insurance carriers and internal departments, and maintaining accurate and compliant billing documentation. The Medical Biller / Team Lead will also contribute to process improvements, assist with training, and help maintain high standards of data integrity and customer service.


Qualifications

  • Strong understanding of medical billing concepts, including Medical Terminology and familiarity with Insurance processes.
  • Experience with claim resolution and follow-up, including working with Denials and Medicare billing requirements.
  • Knowledge of coding standards and regulations, including ICD-10 and related compliance practices.
  • Previous experience in a medical billing role, preferably in a laboratory or healthcare setting, with team lead or supervisory responsibilities.
  • Proficiency with billing software, electronic health records, and common office applications (e.g., Excel, Word).
  • Excellent attention to detail, analytical skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to coach, mentor, and support team members.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or certification in medical billing/coding is preferred.
