Cloud Infrastructure Engineer
The Opportunity:
Everyone is trying to "harness the cloud," but not everyone knows how. As an experienced cloud computing infrastructure architect, you know how to take advantage of cloud capabilities. Here, you'll oversee our team of experienced professionals and use cutting-edge enterprise cloud platforms to guide your clients as they modernize their IT infrastructure and meet their most challenging missions. That's why we need you, an engineer who understands how data platforms, mission systems, hardware, software, and Cloud-native capabilities fit together across classified environments to help us modernize IT systems supporting JWCC and C2E initiatives.
You'll collaborate closely with fellow architects and engineers specializing in Classified System Platforms to build cloud solutions components. You'll have the chance to broaden your experience within a DevOps framework to create and manage container apps and use products like Kubernetes to further the mission. With access to our internal support, you'll have the space and time to explore different ways of solving our clients' problems, and you'll partner with stakeholders and lead your team to deliver the right technical solutions. Whether modernizing legacy computing platforms and applications or creating new ones from scratch, you'll have the latest tech and brightest teammates at your fingertips. This position is located in the Washington Metro Area or Colorado Springs, CO.

You Have:
  • Experience with Cloud engineering, architecture, management, maintenance, and enhancement across enterprise environment
  • Experience working with Amazon Web Services (AWS) or Microsoft Azure supporting enterprise-scale Cloud architecture and platform transformation
  • Experience designing, engineering, and deploying Cloud-native and hybrid environments supporting mission and data workloads
  • Experience working with networking, security groups, IAM, routing, and policy management in relation to Cloud resources across multiple operating systems, including UNIX, Linux, and Windows
  • Experience building and managing Cloud environments across multiple impact levels, regions, and providers
  • Experience supporting DoD or IC Cloud environments, security requirements, and certification frameworks
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC), automation, and configuration management tools
  • TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph
  • HS diploma or GED
  • DoD 8570 Certification such as Security+ Certification

Nice If You Have:
  • Experience with CI/CD pipeline solutions such as Jenkins, Bamboo, Travis CI, and GitLab
  • Experience with Kubernetes, containerization, and Cloud platform services
  • Experience building Cloud Data Plane and Mission Plane architectures
  • Knowledge of DoD accreditation and Cloud authorization processes
  • Ability to work through challenging security requirements and maintain compliance in classified environments
  • Bachelor's degree
  • AWS or Azure Certification

Clearance:

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $112,800.00 to $257,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
