Job description

If you take pride in keeping spaces clean, organized, and welcoming, our Part-Time Janitor positions might be the right fit for you! You'll play an important role in maintaining safe and comfortable facilities for employees, clients, and visitors. Every day, you'll help create an environment that reflects care, professionalism, and attention to detail.


A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A JANITOR

This Part-Time Janitor role is an after-hours, contract position. Work is completed on a piecework basis, with tasks performed outside of regular business hours. As a Janitor, you'll start your shift by checking schedules and preparing supplies to keep things running smoothly. You'll sweep, mop, and sanitize high-traffic areas, ensuring that offices, restrooms, and common spaces are spotless and ready for use. You'll manage waste removal, restock supplies, and promptly report any maintenance issues you notice. Your consistency, reliability, and pride in your work will ensure everyone who walks through the door experiences a clean, professional, and welcoming environment.


Qualifications

  • Relevant cleaning, janitorial, or environmental experience
  • Experience using commercial cleaning products and equipment, preferred
  • Proficient in using mobile devices and basic computer applications, including Microsoft Office
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain consistency and quality in all tasks
  • Solid interpersonal and customer service skills with a positive, professional attitude
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Fit test and other safety certifications
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends
  • Ability to complete work activities that may involve material handling, lifting, and the use of personal protective equipment including safety footwear and other required gear
