Description
Blessed Sacrament Catholic Parish and School is seeking a part-time, temporary Maintenance Support Worker to assist in the daily upkeep of Blessed Sacrament's facilities, including the School, Church and Parish buildings. The ideal candidate will handle minor repairs, painting, grounds maintenance, and assist with general custodial tasks to ensure a safe and operational environment for students, staff and visitors.
Key Responsibilities
  • Minor Repairs: Perform basic repairs to walls, doors, windows, locks, and furniture.
  • Plumbing & Electrical: Repair leaky faucets, unclog drains, and replace light bulbs/tubes.
  • Painting & Upkeep: Perform interior/exterior painting and touch-ups.
  • Grounds Maintenance: Assist with lawn mowing, trash removal, and general landscaping.
  • Setup/Breakdown: Organize chairs, tables, and equipment for events or meetings.
  • Safety Checks: Inspect facilities for hazards and report issues to management.
  • Custodial Assistance: Assist with cleaning duties as required.

Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Proven experience as a maintenance worker.
  • Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and carpentry.
  • Ability to use hand and power tools safely.
