Job Title: 3 Streams Institute Pastoral Resident at Wellspring Church (Denver, Colorado)

Location: Englewood, Colorado
Position Overview
The 3 Streams Institute Residency at Wellspring Church is a two-year, full-time, paid training program for men seeking ordination to the priesthood in the Anglican Church. Modeled after a teaching hospital residency, this program provides a relational, formational, and experiential context for those seeking to become senior pastors. Residents gain hands-on experience, receive mentorship from senior pastors, and participate in a formational community dedicated to the Anglican tradition.
Program Characteristics
Pastoral Immersion: Residents are fully functioning members of the pastoral staff. Responsibilities may include preaching, teaching, spiritual formation, pastoral care, compassion ministries, project management, and financial oversight.
Mentored Experience: Residents are paired with senior-level priests and a lay mentor for organizational leadership development.
Formational Learning: Participants join learning cohorts that focus on spiritual formation, emotional and relational health, career discernment, practical pastoral training, the Anglican tradition, and management/organizational leadership.
Ordination Path: The program is designed in partnership with the Diocese of the Rocky Mountains to support residents in the ordination process.
Requirements
Candidates must possess a demonstrated commitment to following Christ and a clear sense of calling to senior-level leadership in the Anglican Church, including:
- Member of an Anglican church for at least one year.
- Confirmed in an Anglican church.
- Completion of the local discernment process (as outlined by the Diocese of the Rocky Mountains) before the residency begins.
- Demonstrated potential for excellence in organizational leadership and preaching/teaching.
- Ability to commit to the work and learning requirements of the full-time (40-45 hours/week) position.
Note: While not required, completion of master-level theological studies by the fall of Year 1 is strongly encouraged.
Compensation and Benefits
Salary: $74,500 per year.
Benefits: Paid health insurance and dental.
Support: Moving expenses covered up to $5,000; scholarship of up to $5,000 available for the final semester of seminary.
