Opportunity:
Sanctuary Functional Medicine is seeking a Part-Time Licensed Nutritionist or Registered Dietitian who has a strong passion for functional and integrative medicine and desires to grow in the treatment of complex chronic illness.
This role will work directly under and support the Head of Nutrition, collaborating closely with Dr. Eric Potter and the Sanctuary clinical team. This is an excellent opportunity for a practitioner who wants mentorship, exposure to advanced functional medicine cases, and hands-on experience within a high-level integrative practice.
Our patient population includes complex cases such as:
 CIRS, mold toxicity, Lyme disease, autoimmune disorders, mast cell activation, hormone dysfunction, PANS/PANDAS, cardiovascular disease, leaky gut, SIBO, Type II Diabetes, and more. However, we also offer primary care and functional wellness programs that focus on prevention and promoting longevity. 
Position Summary:
The Part-Time Nutritionist will support the Head of Nutrition in delivering integrative, nutrition-based health services consistent with the Sanctuary Functional Medicine approach.
This role focuses on assisting with patient care implementation, program support, education development, and care coordination. The Nutritionist will help patients actively work toward healing by providing support, education, accountability, and encouragement within both individual and group settings.
This is a part-time onsite position with potential for growth.
Position Responsibilities:
Clinical Support:
  • Conduct follow-up visits and support visits as delegated by Head of Nutrition.
  • Assist in implementing therapeutic diet plans and 5R Gut protocols.
  • Support meal plan development and nutrition care plans.
  • Review medical history, diagnoses, labs, pharmaceuticals, and nutraceuticals via EMR.
  • Collaborate with MD/NP and Head of Nutrition to integrate lab findings into nutrition strategies.
  • Provide portal messaging support and patient accountability.

Program & Education Support:
  • Assist in developing nutrition education materials (print and digital).
  • Support onsite and offsite seminars, classes, and wellness programs.
  • Contribute to blog writing and digital library growth.
  • Assist with group program implementation and coordination.

Team Collaboration:
  • Participate in team meetings and company culture.
  • Communicate proactively within interdisciplinary team.
  • Support operational goals aligned with clinic mission and patient satisfaction.

Required Qualifications:
License/Certification:
  • Licensed Nutritionist (if applicable in state) and/or Registered Dietitian.
  • Functional Medicine certification or active pursuit preferred.
  • Minimum one year experience or training in functional/integrative medicine.

Clinical Knowledge:
  • Familiarity with chronic illness management, lab interpretation, therapeutic diets.
  • Understanding of stress physiology, detoxification, gut health, metabolic health.
  • Knowledge of HIPAA, medical ethics, and patient confidentiality.
